Whether you’re on holiday on Gran Canaria or have relocated to our beautiful island, we’re determined to show you a good time. Which is why we big up gigs. Such as the Kellswater Flute Band and BSGC concerts.

1. Kellswater Flute Band and BSGC concerts: what

The Kellswater Flute Band celebrate their 70th anniversary in 2017. Straight out of Ballymena, Northern Ireland, they’re named after the Kellswater river which itself provides inspiration for the Celtic classic, Bonnie Kellswater. Their marching music throws percussion into the mix by way of drums alongside the woodwind melody of flutes.

The BSGC are the British School of Gran Canaria. They celebrated an anniversary of their own in 2016, their 50th. One of the leading international Gran Canaria schools, their music teacher is Miss Claire McDonald; herself a Kellswater Flute Band member.

As well as song, there’s dance. For a-moving and a-groooving at the Kellswater Flute Band and BSGC shows will be dancers from Northern Ireland’s acclaimed Arran School. They’ll be the ones wearing traditional Gaelic costumes when they bust their moves.

The dream team reunite for a couple of concerts

2. Kellswater Flute Band and BSGC concerts: where

The Kellswater Flute Band and BSGC will be playing two shows: both in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria’s Ciudad Jardín. The first concert is in the Garden City’s Holy Trinity Church. Whereas the second is in Gran Canaria Local Junior’s favourite park, Parque Doramas.

3. Kellswater Flute Band and BSGC concerts: when

Both Kellswater Flute Band and BSGC concerts take place over Gran Canaria’s spring break. The Easter holiday show at the Holy Trinity Church is on Wednesday 12th April at 8:00pm and the Doramas Park performance on Friday 14th April at 4.00pm. Entrance is free on both dates.
