We’re not digital nomads. But many of these location-independent professionals are Gran Canaria Local’s biggest readers. We know this because we write about them more than any other blog covering the island.
For many reasons, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria’s the perfect destination for digital nomads. For two things, it’s the Canary Islands’ most multicultural city and you can commute between your coworking space of choice and accommodation in T-shirt and shorts whether it’s day or night; so little does the temperature fluctuate between am and pm. If you’re seriously thinking of relocating over here, have we got an event for you: Nomad City Las Palmas 2016.

1. Nomad City Las Palmas 2016: what
This event will offer an introduction to the Gran Canaria capital as well as the island’s rural locations. There will be talks from old friends of ours. Including CoworkingC’s Nacho Rodriguez and André Gusslekloo who so educated and entertained us at Gran Canaria Business Week.

2. Nomad City Las Palmas 2016: where
There are various venues being used over the course of this event. From Las Canteras which hosts a beach day to Vegueta, home to a tapas night. And the Center for Tourism Innovation Building for the series of talks plus the island’s great outdoors for a spot of hiking.
3. Nomad City Las Palmas 2016: when
This event takes place from Monday the 5th until Friday the 9th December. The basic plan will set you back €59 for three activities (NC Talks, Tapas Night, and Rooftop Party) and the experience plan €89 for five (also including Discover Gran Canaria and Beach Day or Urban Lovers). Whilst transport has to be arrranged independently, there’s limited accommodation available for the 150+digital nomads at CoworkingC’s Nomad House.
